Howdy! My name is Josiah Mabry and I’m a freelance copywriter, designer, and photographer based in Houston, TX. With over seven years of professional writing experience, two years designing and two years behind the lens, I take pride in utilizing my versatile forms of creativity to meet the needs of all my clients!

My writing journey began as a side hustle to help fund my college education, but it quickly evolved into a passion and a profession. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the illustrious Texas Southern University, which has provided me with a unique insight into sports medicine and healthcare, two subjects I specialize in writing.

After graduating, I developed a portfolio through my personal writing business, Mayberry Papers, in which I collaborated as a third-party vendor to provide copywriting services for various organizations. This then landed me my first professional writing role as the Development Writer at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, where I drafted and edited exhibition letters and reports for the Museum’s stakeholders.

Photography and graphic design found me some years later, but they’ve both become powerful tools in my creative storytelling. Armed with my Canon EOS Rebel T100, I began freelancing two years ago, snapping eye-catching photography for both events and still portraits. My extensive knowledge in the usage of Adobe Creative Suite software helps me bring ideas to life with precision and innovation.
